Some years ago, EDS had a television commercial about building airplanes in the air. That’s what we feel like sometimes as a community. God has and is, taking us on a journey of faith and at this point we’ve decided to take a step back to take a closer look at what that means.
The name “church” comes with a lot of definitions and meanings which may or may not be what God had intended for his “people”. Throughout the bible, a community was “set aside” at various times to further his kingdom. In its original Greek form, this group is often referred to in the bible as the “ekklesia”.
For each of the respective congregations, we will be looking at what ekklesia meant and might mean for us as a community of faith.
